A heavyweight fight?

Bethune-Cookman vs. FSU
Game Time: Saturday, September 21st at 6:00 p.m. EST, Tallahassee, FL

Tailgate Time: 2:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m.

This week Bethune-Cookman football coach Brian Jenkins described his team’s upcoming game at Florida State as “a heavyweight fight.”  Jenkins said he sees the match-up of his FCS power Wildcats and FBS power Seminoles this Saturday as a showdown of “championship-caliber” teams.

Unfortunately this week at the tailgate we will not have any of the drugs that Coach Jenkins is snorting/ smoking/ huffing.  We will however have some tasty tailgate fare, a wide selection of libations, and a diverse group of misfits.  Come join the party on Saturday.

Menu: Pulled Pork, Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans

Cocktail of the Week: Spiked Sweet Tea/ Lemonade

Activities: We will have the cornhole boards and beer pong table out.  We will also be taking nominations for this week's tailgate MVP.

See you Saturday!

Saturday, Doak Campbell Stadium is the stage in a battle for ACC supremacy.  In a possible ACC title game preview, the Duke Blue Devils bring their 6-2 record to Tallahassee.  In homage to their new found football prowess, Duke students have made the trip and are camping in "Cutcliffe-ville" and calling themselves the "Campbell Crazies".  It's our job to put them in their places and turn their attention back towards the upcoming basketball season.  So, come have a few beverages because we can rest next Saturday during the bye week.

Cocktail of the Week: Blue Devil Brew

Redemption Saturday

Boston College vs. #12 FSU
Game Time: Saturday, October 13th at 5:30 p.m. EST, Tallahassee, FL
Tailgate Time: 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.

A week after an embarrassing loss to N.C. State, the Noles limp home with bruised egos and a battered fan base.  As tailgaters, we can not control the outcome on the field, but we can control the pre-game party.  It is our responsibility to tailgate with the enthusiasm of an undefeated, top 5 team, regardless of record.  And, I'm sure if we lose anymore the alcohol consumption will exponentially increase without my imploration.  Luckily for FSU, the Eagles won't have Matt Ryan, Mark Herzlich or Luke Kuechly suiting up on Saturday.

Menu:
Paella- cooked on site at the tailgate, French Bread, Assorted Snacks
Cocktail of the Week:
Electric Pink Lemonade

Activities:
Civil War tournament.  If you haven't played civil war, it's a fast paced drinking game that's thematically appropriate considering our northern opponent.

See you Saturday under the pines!

You are looking live....

#10 Clemson University vs. #4 FSU
Game Time: Saturday, September 22nd at 8:00 p.m. EST, Tallahassee, FL
Tailgate Time: 1:00 p.m.- 7:15 p.m.

The ascension to our rightful place atop college football begins Saturday night.  There was once a time when we had to rely on last second heroics to beat the purple intruders from the Piedmont.  This year the domination begins from the opening whistle.

Although the Noles will start the massacre early, it's our job as tailgaters to appropriately pace ourselves.  Together we can monitor our compatriots to ensure that everyone makes it into the game with the capability to turn Doak into a hostile environment.  So come early, have a few beverages and then settle into a moderate tempo until game time.  It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Menu: Smoked Pulled Pork, Mac and Cheese, Cornbread, Banana Pudding

Cocktail of the Week: Tiger's Blood Punch

Activities:
- DJ Kellough will be spinning throughout the afternoon as the party escalates towards the 8PM kickoff.
Technics Turntables and Mixer #1b

- Cornhole tournament at 4:30 PM.

Bring a six pack and a few friends.  See you Saturday!
